Break the monotony of quarantine and achieve spa-like results with these 5 inexpensive products. If you're still uncomfortable about visiting a nail salon or massage studio, use your residence as a calming space. Doing so has the added benefits of limiting non-essential exposure to congregate settings such as stores and salons as the COVID-19 pandemic intensifies. Plus, you'll save money!!!!

1. Lavender Essential Oil - This is one of my favorite essential oils! Research shows that lavender improves memory gaps and learning deficiencies in animals. It also has a calming effect. Studies show it accelerates the onset of sleep and improves sleep quality; as such, it should be used in moderation. I also immerse a few drops of it around my place as an air freshener. Most lavender essential oil offerings on the market are naturally preservative-free. A 4 fl oz vial could last several months to a year since only a few drops are needed to activate it. You may wish to dilute lavender essential oil in water or a carrier oil (jojoba, argan, etc)

2. Essential Oil Diffuser - This device is used to spread essential oils throughout an area. I recommend using a diffuser before bed. All you'll need is water and a few drops of your favorite essential oil.

3. Epsom salt - Epsom salt, a magnesium, oxygen and sulfur compound, has been known to relax muscles and relieve pain. Many people find relief through an epsom salt bath for the body or feet. It may irritate broken skin, thus I would advise against using it in that case. Important ***Those with diabetes should consult with a doctor prior to using epsom salt or foot soaking as it is generally not advised***
